We’re looking for an experienced Senior HR Consultant to support a portfolio of clients with practical, commercially balanced HR advice.
This senior, client-facing role involves working closely with business owners, managers and leadership teams, supporting both day-to-day people matters and wider HR projects.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll manage your own portfolio of clients, providing practical HR support across a range of people matters.
Client Relationship Management
- Managing retained and project-based clients independently
- Building trusted relationships with business owners and managers
- Acting as a day-to-day HR advisor
- Providing tailored advice based on client needs
- Attending virtual and on-site client meetings
Employee Relations & HR Advice
- Advising on HR matters including absence, conduct, performance, grievance, probation, flexible working and exits
- Managing employee relations cases end-to-end
- Supporting managers through HR processes and sensitive conversations
- Drafting HR documentation including letters, policies and written advice
- Providing fair, practical and commercially balanced guidance
Projects & Consultancy
Supporting HR projects including:
- Policy and handbook reviews
- Onboarding and employee experience improvements
- Performance and development frameworks
- Engagement and culture initiatives
- Management training and coaching
- Helping clients build proactive people practices
- Developing practical HR tools and resources
Commercial Delivery
- Managing priorities across multiple clients
- Working within retainers and project scopes
- Delivering high-quality work efficiently
- Maintaining accurate records
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience
- HR consultancy experience (essential)
- Strong generalist HR experience supporting multiple businesses or SMEs
- Experience managing client relationships independently
- Strong UK employment law knowledge
- Experience handling employee relations matters
- Strong HR documentation drafting skills
- Commercial, practical approach to HR advice
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
Desirable
- CIPD qualified or working towards accreditation
- Experience with restructures, redundancies or organisational change
- Experience delivering manager coaching or training
- Experience supporting SMEs or founder-led businesses
- Familiarity with HR systems such as BrightHR
