Trowbridge, Wiltshire

Industrial Construction Project

£65,000 – £70,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits

Our client, a leading UK main contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality industrial and commercial projects, is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team on a major industrial development in Trowbridge.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role on a significant construction project, working closely with senior project teams to drive health, safety, and environmental performance from start to finish.

The Role:

As Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety are maintained across the project, promoting a proactive safety culture and supporting site teams in delivering a safe and compliant working environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading all health, safety, and environmental activities on site.
  • Conducting regular inspections, audits, and safety reviews.
  • Reviewing and approving Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
  • Supporting site management teams and subcontractors with HSE guidance and best practice.
  • Investigating incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Monitoring compliance with company procedures and current legislation.
  • Producing safety reports and performance data for project and senior management teams.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

About You

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a Health & Safety Manager, Senior H&S Advisor, or similar role within construction.
  • Strong experience working on industrial, logistics, warehouse, manufacturing, or large-scale construction projects.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum).
  • IOSH Membership (CMIOSH desirable).
  • Excellent knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence teams at all levels.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to health and safety management.
