Assistant Management Accountant

About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to develop their career within a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and posting month-end journals
• Assisting in the preparation, review, and analysis of monthly management accounts, including profit & loss reporting with commentary
• Supporting the preparation of working schedules for the annual audit
• Assisting with audit queries
• Producing and monitoring cash outstanding reports
• Supporting forecasting processes
• Assisting with system upgrade testing
• Contributing to the annual overheads budget process
• Supporting the wider finance team and providing cover when required
• Assisting in maintaining and improving internal financial controls
• Supporting ad hoc projects as required by senior management

About You

• AAT / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
• Excellent attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
• Professional, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality
• A collaborative team player who supports colleagues and contributes to a positive team culture
• Strong communication skills
• Experience within the construction industry is advantageous, but not essential
