An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join a nationally recognised healthcare practice in London. Consistently ranked among the market leaders in healthcare litigation, this award-winning team acts on behalf of NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts and major insurers, handling some of the most complex and high-profile clinical negligence claims in the country.

High-quality varied caseload of defendant clinical negligence
You’ll manage a varied caseload of defendant clinical negligence matters, ranging from straightforward claims through to complex, high-value litigation. Working within a supportive and collaborative team, you’ll be given responsibility from day one while receiving guidance on more challenging cases.
Your work will include:
- Managing clinical negligence claims from instruction through to resolution
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, advices and other key legal documents
- Liaising with medical experts, counsel, clients and witnesses
- Attending court hearings, mediations and settlement meetings
- Supporting the defence of high-value and sensitive claims
- Developing strong relationships with NHS and insurer clients
As your career progresses, you’ll also have opportunities to contribute to business development initiatives, client training programmes and the supervision of junior colleagues.
The right skills and aptitude
You will be:
- A qualified Solicitor with between 2 and 7 years’ PQE
- Experienced in clinical negligence litigation, ideally on the defendant side
- Alternatively, a claimant clinical negligence solicitor looking to transition into defendant work
- Comfortable managing your own caseload and working within client service standards
- A strong communicator with excellent drafting and organisational skills
- Commercially minded, proactive and keen to develop your career within a leading healthcare practice
