Senior Civil Engineer specialising in Coastal and Marine 

Location: Cork/Dublin/ Tralee/ Limerick/ Galway 

Experience: Chartered Engineers with 8-15 years' experience

MWP is an established multi-disciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy based in Munster, with offices in Cork, Tralee and Limerick. MWP's Marine and Coastal team is in the process of expanding and we have a number of vacancies for talented and enthusiastic Coastal and Marine Civil Engineers.

These roles will suit candidates who are Chartered Engineers with at least 8 years' experience. Ideal candidates will have some or all of the following:

  • Have a minimum 8 to 15 years post graduate experience in Marine Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in the Design and Project Management of coastal/marine engineering projects from inception to handover
  • Experience in the design and planning of large scale port facilities, including elements such as quay walls, jetties, dolphins and container pavements
  • Experience in coastal flood risk assessment, hydrodynamic modelling and/or coastal protection would be beneficial
  • Ideally have knowledge of government/public contracts and others such as NEC and FIDIC.
  • Current experience of leading, managing and running, port/marine projects, preferably in the consultancy sector.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of current codes of practice and design standards.
  • Proactive, a good communicator with the ability to lead others in a multi-disciplinary project team.
  • Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and good written and oral communication skills.
