At Funky Pigeon, we help people say it better and were looking for a part time Buyers Assistant to play a key part in bringing our ranges to life. Youll be right in the mix, working closely with the Category Manager / Buyer and getting involved across the full buying journey in cards and personalised gifting.
Its a handson role where organisation, curiosity, and attention to detail really count. From helping new products land smoothly to keeping a close eye on performance and suppliers, youll have a real impact on how our ranges show up for customers.

What youll be doing
Youll support the daytoday running of our buying activity across cards and personalised gifting, managing product and supplier setup, helping deliver successful range launches, and ensuring everything looks and performs as it should online. Alongside this, youll dig into data and insights to support range reviews, work closely with suppliers and internal teams, stay on top of admin, and use market insight to help shape commercial decisions.
This is a hybrid role, with two days a week based at our Bristol site.
What were looking for
- Ideally, youll bring some experience from a Buying Assistant or similar commercial role, with a real appetite to keep learning and developing.
- Youre genuinely interested in retail, products, and delivering a great customer experience online.
- You have a strong interest in trends and design, especially within the gifting and cards space.
- Youre highly organised, love the detail, and feel comfortable juggling multiple tasks at once.
- Youre confident working with numbers and sales data, and enjoy using insights to spot opportunities.
- Youre comfortable using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (especially Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides), with experience of Miro and Monday.com being a nice bonus.
- Youre a proactive, positive team player with a creative mindset who enjoys problemsolving and getting stuck in.
