Role Overview: We are looking to fill vacancies at different levels in accredited and non‑accredited ESOL, COMESOL and Functional Skills English courses. Evening tutors are particularly sought after, though daytime classes and cover teaching are available. We work with tutors to develop a timetable that fits their availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre‑course assessment and assign learners to appropriate courses.
  • Plan and deliver lessons, addressing learner needs and supporting progress.
  • Help learners achieve qualification goals where applicable.
  • Receive induction, use our MIS and VLE systems, share best practices and attend staff development.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified ESOL/English practitioner or working towards a Level 4 qualification with English/ESOL specialism.
  • Demonstrable skills in incorporating inclusive and impactful technologies and teaching resources.
  • Familiarity with ESOL or English Functional Skills and/or GCSE qualifications.
  • Experience of pre‑course assessment, quality assurance and internal moderation (preferred).
  • Preferred ability or experience in both ESOL and Functional Skills areas.
