Healthcare Assistant – Dementia & Elderly Care
Location: Tonypandy, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales
Salary: £13.68 – £27.36 per hour (DOE)
Job Description
Dedicated Healthcare Assistants with experience caring for individuals with dementia and other health conditions are sought to join a specialist social care provider in Tonypandy. Flexible shifts across days, nights and weekends allow balancing work and personal commitments while delivering therapeutic care to elderly residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to residents with dementia and other health conditions
- Use manual handling equipment safely and effectively
- Implement care and treatment plans tailored to individual needs
- Offer companionship and emotional support to residents
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all residents
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months experience in healthcare or social care
- Experience with manual handling equipment in a live environment (training provided)
- Compassionate and patient approach to elderly and dementia care
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to work flexible shifts including days, nights and weekends
