Salary: Grade 3, Point 3: £8,513 annual salary (pay award pending)
Contract: Fixed-Term until August 2027, 15 hours per week, 38.4 weeks per year (term time plus 4 inset days)
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic 1:1 Childcare Assistant to join our nursery team from September 2026, providing high-quality care and education for a named child in a safe, nurturing environment. This role will require the post holder to provide support to the child and ensuring their medical needs are met safely throughout the day. The working hours for this post are 8.30am to 2.10pm (with a 30 minute unpaid break) on 2 days per week and 8.30am to 1.10pm on 1 day per week.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the named child within the Nursery setting.
- Help plan and deliver fun, engaging activities that support children’s learning and development.
- Contribute to maintaining a welcoming, organised, and stimulating environment.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Assist with record keeping and ensure all policies, including safeguarding and health and safety, are followed.
- Promote equality, inclusion, and the wellbeing of every child.
About You
- Hold a Level 2 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent).
- Have a good understanding of child development and experience working with young children.
- Be warm, patient, and committed to helping every child reach their potential.
- Work well as part of a team and communicate clearly with children, families, and colleagues.
- Be willing to undertake further training and professional development.
