Active Recruitment are working with a warm and welcoming mainstream Primaryschool in Harlow, who are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child with Autism and Social & Emotional Needs. This is a highly rewarding role where you will be helping youngchildren meet their targets. As an SEN TeachingAssistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping children with additional needs thrive both academically and emotionally.
About the Role
As an SEN TeachingAssistant in Harlow, Essex, you’ll work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with a range of special educational needs. You’ll provide one-to-one and small group support, help create inclusive learning opportunities, and celebrate each child’s progress.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Patient, compassionate, and positive
- A great communicator who can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Proactive and able to use initiative within the classroom
- Ideally experienced in supporting children with SEN (though training and guidance will be provided)
