Support Worker – South East Auckland (Behavioural Support)
Full‑time positions, 65+ hours per fortnight.
Flexible availability required for a variety of rostered shifts – mornings, evenings, overnight sleepovers, and every second weekend.
$23.84–$29.10 per hour, depending on relevant qualifications.

We’re looking for strong, resilient support workers with the heart and strength to step up and support individuals with complex behavioural needs. As a support worker you’ll walk alongside someone, helping them stay safe, manage emotions, and live a good life. This is hands‑on, meaningful mahi, where your strength, patience, and presence truly matter.
It is about showing up, keeping calm when things are tough, and being someone others can rely on – you won’t be on your own; you’ll be fully trained and supported by a solid team that has your back.
Ngā mahi | What you’ll be doing
- Build independence – support people to learn everyday skills such as cooking, budgeting, and using public transport.
- Support daily routines – help with personal care and medication.
- Back goals and passions – encourage people to pursue interests, culture, and hobbies.
- Support complex behaviours – provide calm, consistent support, always with dignity, safety, and respect.
- Strengthen whānau and community connections – support people to stay connected to their people, culture, whakapapa, and community.
- Promote health and wellbeing – support positive choices for physical, mental, and emotional health.

You’ll Bring
- Ability to stay calm, steady, and respectful in challenging situations.
- Confidence working with challenging behaviours and de‑escalating situations.
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
- Physical fitness to provide hands‑on support and participate in activities.
- A non‑judgmental, open‑minded approach to people from all walks of life.
- Comfortable using computers and tablets as part of daily work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A full New Zealand driver’s licence.
