Position: Mental Health Support Worker
Contract Type: Permanent – Fully office based
Salary: £26,980
Rota Basis Hours: 8:30am – 5pm Monday to Friday, with one late shift of 12:30pm – 9pm. Weekend shifts are 9am – 9pm Saturday and Sunday, or 10am – 8pm Saturday and Sunday

Required
- Education: Psychology undergraduate degree or equivalent
- Experience: 2 years
- Industry: Health and social care
- Specific skills: As on the person spec
- Personality & attributes: As on the person spec
- Top 5 priorities: Commute 1 hour or less, education/experience, digital dexterity/computer skills, knowledge of mental health diagnoses, admin skills
What You’ll Do
- Support Clients: Provide tailored support and guidance to individuals in recovery, helping them set and achieve personal goals
- Collaborate: Work closely with a diverse team of professionals to create individualised recovery plans
- Facilitate Workshops: Organise and lead workshops that promote skills development, resilience, and self-confidence
- Community Engagement: Foster connections within the community to enhance support networks for clients
- Monitor Progress: Regularly assess clients’ progress and adjust recovery plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes

- Experience: Proven experience in recovery support, social work, or a related field
- Empathy: A genuine passion for helping others and a strong understanding of the recovery process
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to build trust and rapport with clients
- Team Player: A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
