CNC Setter Operator Nights – Milling

Permanent position. £29.90 per hour, with overtime available. Immediate start for the right candidate.

Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6pm – 6am. Based in Stone, Staffordshire.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC machinery to produce designated components in the automotive, aviation and marine industries.
• Set part datums using probing cycles and manual methods.
• Enter and change tool lengths and datum positions as required.
• Ensure all equipment is calibrated and in good operating condition.
• Operate CNC machines using Fanuc control on 5‑axis, 4‑axis or 3‑axis machines.
• Use in‑process gauging and inspection equipment.
• Produce complex components from a variety of metals.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience operating 5‑axis, 4‑axis or 3‑axis CNC milling machines.
• Working knowledge of Fanuc control and control systems.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and part specifications.
• Experience with part programming is beneficial.
• Mechanical/Manufacturing engineering background.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high‑end manufacturing and production environment.
