Groundworkers : Machine Operator

Machine Operator / Groundworker Required – Chichester

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Machine Operator and 2 × Groundworker’s to work on a project in Bracklesham, near Chichester for a well‑known established company. This role involves operating various machinery up to 10tonnes above and below, as well as assisting with general groundwork duties on site as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Machinery:
  • 360‑ton excavator (above & below – mainly)
  • 5–9ton Takeuchi excavator
  • 13ton Hitachi excavator
  • Dumper – preferred
  • Roller – preferred
• Assisting with general groundwork tasks and all aspects of site groundworks.
• Supporting the site team and contributing to overall progress.
• Following site health & safety procedures at all times.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment.

About You / Qualifications

Proven experience operating the above machinery and assisting across all aspects of groundworks.

• Reliable, professional and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good awareness of site safety and procedures.
• Must live within a commutable distance of Bracklesham, Chichester, and own van/transport.
• Must hold the correct certification/cards and be willing to travel to other sites within the area.
• Provide 2×sources of references.

Required Qualifications

• NPOR (or NCR) / SCSS Card
• Relevancy machine tickets: 360‑ton, Dumper, Roller

Working Hours

• Start time: 7:30am
• Finish time: 5:00pm
• Tea break: 10:00–10:30am (30min)
• Lunch break: 13:00–13:30pm (30min)
