We are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician with both mechanical and electrical capability to join our team at our Darwen site. Reporting to the Engineering Maintenance Manager, you will play a hands‑on role in keeping our plant and equipment running safely and efficiently during the night shift.
Shift Pattern
Two shifts: week one 06:00‑14:00 Monday to Friday, week two 13:45‑22:15 Monday to Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical and electrical fault finding, repairs and installations
- Complete planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
- Work safely and follow best practice engineering standards
- Adapt to changing priorities to keep production running smoothly
- Maintain high housekeeping and hygiene standards
- Share knowledge and support colleagues across the shift
- Keep accurate maintenance records
- Support preventive maintenance planning within SAP
Qualifications
- Experience as a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault finding capability
- Experience installing and commissioning equipment
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- A recognised engineering qualification such as ONC, NVQ Level3, apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Confidence using SAP and MicrosoftOffice tools
- Counterbalance FLT, MEWP or IOSH certification is welcome but not essential
