We are recruiting Nightshift Machine Operators to join a long‑established production team in Kirriemuir. Full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Running and Adjusting Production Machinery: Operate and monitor designated machines throughout the nightshift, ensuring steady production and smooth running. Duties include carrying out start‑up checks, making basic adjustments and escalating mechanical issues when required.
- Working to Defined Processes: Follow established operational instructions, written procedures and production guidelines to ensure accuracy and consistency. Keeping machine settings and workflow aligned with required standards is essential for successful output.
- Maintaining Quality Standards: Inspect products during manufacture, identify defects, complete quality documentation and ensure all batches meet the required specifications.
- Promoting a Safe Working Environment: Work safely at all times, follow site protocols and maintain a clean and organised work area. Health and safety compliance is a key part of the role.
- Supporting Operational Targets: Contribute to meeting nightly production goals. Reliability, focus and attention to detail will directly impact the overall performance of the team.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- A practical, quality‑focused approach to work with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to follow set processes accurately and consistently.
- Confidence working independently after training, while also supporting wider team activity.
- Clear communication skills, especially when reporting issues or receiving instruction.
- Previous experience with industrial or manufacturing machinery is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- A proactive and flexible attitude suited to a fast‑paced production environment.
