Job Description:

£31,756 per annum – depending on skills and experience. Company van, standby allowance. Permanent, full time, 37 hours a week. Location: Saffron Walden and surrounding areas.

Position Overview

Water Recycling is at the heart of our operations. Our in‑house, highly‑skilled workforce collects and treats the water that customers have used, returning it to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. The network includes 76,000 km of sewers which feed over 1,000 water recycling centres.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled activities as instructed via a scheduling app or direct from OMC technicians, FLM or Optimiser.
  • Liaise with OMC to reschedule work plans to address critical compliance issues.
  • Ensure site servicing is carried out so the process runs effectively and efficiently, and tasks are carried out in their correct sequence to maintain compliance.
  • Carry out asset care activities (e.g., lubrication schedules) to required standards.
  • Implement agreed actions on compliance action plans.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Educated to GCSE level, preferably in English and mathematics.
  • Excellent communication skills, confidence and ability to deal with people at all levels.
  • Competent with IT systems.
  • Experience of sewerage design and construction is desirable.
  • Strong administrative abilities.
  • Willingness to be flexible and ability to work with internal and external customers.
  • Strong sense of process and health and safety.
  • Ability to work quickly, use own initiative and solve problems.
  • Full driving licence.
