Zeal Permanent Placements are currently hiring for a Balustrade & Structural Welder to join their client in Leicester on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for welding steel balustrades, handrails, staircases, and structural components in accordance with drawings and specifications. This role may include both workshop-based and on-site work.
Key responsibilities:
- Interpret work from technical drawings, blueprints and fabrication sketches
- MIG and TIG welding of stainless steel and mild steel components
- MIG balustrades, staircases, handrails, platforms and structural steel elements
- Operate standard workshop machinery
- Perform quality checks on completed welds to ensure strength and accuracy
- Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Required Skills And Experience
- Proven experience in welding steel balustrades and structural steelwork
- Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrications drawings
- Skilled in using workshop tools and machinery
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Fabrication and Welding (or equivalent) desirable
- Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Hours of work:
Monday to Thursday 7am to 5.30pm
Friday 7am to 9.30am
