CNC Machine Setter

CNC Machine Setter – £31,413 per year – Monday to Thursday – Daventry

Hours of work: 16:00pm – 02:15am

Duties

• Setting and programming CNC Milling machines
• Operate CNC milling and ensuring accurate cutting, drilling, and shaping of metal or plastic parts
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
• Run the machine in line with the speeds and feeds called up by the programs and monitor performance
• Multiman at times to support the performance & utilisation of our resources when machinery and suitable product types enable you to do so
• Ensure professional communication is maintained with your opposite machinist or supervisor at shift handover
• Maintain a clean and tidy workplace by ensuring a continuation of 5S (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Systemise, Sustain)
• Work as part of a strong team, willing to fulfil other tasks and additional duties when requested

Qualifications and experience

• Previous experience and CNC Machine Setter
• Background working in an environment where attention to detail is important
• Automotive or other batch control industry experience
• Prior experience using measuring equipment
• FANUC and Heidenhain controls
• Engineering background (preferred)
