Job Title: Electrician (Facilities Management) – Shift Work

Location: Salford – Large Commercial Build

Reporting to: Electrical Supervisor / FM Manager

Salary: £42,000 + package

Hours: 4 days on – 4 days off, 12 hours per day

Job Purpose

We are looking for a qualified Electrician to join the Facilities Management team on a large commercial site in Salford. The role involves delivering planned and reactive electrical maintenance to ensure all building systems operate safely, efficiently and in full compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works.
• Fault‑find, repair, and maintain lighting, power, emergency lighting, and distribution systems.
• Install, modify and upgrade electrical systems as required.
• Complete testing, inspection and associated certification in line with BS 7671.
• Ensure all works comply with health & safety legislation and site procedures.
• Accurately complete job reports, compliance records and maintenance documentation.
• Liaise with FM teams, supervisors and other trades to minimise disruption.
• Support out‑of‑hours works and emergency call‑outs when required.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial or FM Electrician.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic ability.
• Experience working in large commercial environments.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition (BS 7671).
• AM2.
• Testing & Inspection (2391 or equivalent) desirable.
• ECS / JIB Gold Card preferred.

Desirable

• FM or building maintenance experience.
• IPAF, PASMA or similar site certifications.
