Qualified Plumber

Main Purpose of the Role / Key Objectives

To be responsible for a variety of plumbing installations and maintenance tasks within modular buildings, both at the Driffield site and on locations across the UK as required.

Accountabilities

• Installation and maintenance of plumbing systems to a high standard and in line with specifications and S.O.P.
• Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Effective collaboration with team members to ensure smooth and efficient production and site operations.
• Prompt reporting of any quality or safety issues.
• Compliance with Enlight10’s ISO requirements, including company policies, procedures, training, and objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plumbing schematics, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, and heating systems in modular buildings.
• Use hand and power tools to cut, bend, and join pipes and fittings.
• Conduct pressure tests and inspections to ensure system integrity and compliance.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including cleaning tools and work areas.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
• Report any safety concerns to the Supervisor/Factory Manager.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Minimum Level 2 Plumbing Qualification (NVQ or equivalent).
• Experience in modular building plumbing installations is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrable problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast‑paced site and factory environment.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to promote a ‘right first time’ approach to work.
• Willingness to travel and work on sites across the UK as required.
