Joiner

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Joiner / Carpenter to join a busy social housing maintenance team covering Hulme and surrounding areas. This is a permanent position carrying out repairs, maintenance, and improvement works within occupied and void properties. The successful candidate will have a strong background in social housing repairs and be capable of delivering high-quality workmanship while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day joinery and carpentry repairs within social housing properties.
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance works.
• Repair and replace doors, frames, skirting boards, kitchens, flooring, and other timber-based components.
• Undertake basic multi-trade tasks where required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed.
• Provide a professional service to tenants and residents.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 in Joinery/Carpentry or equivalent.
• Previous experience working within social housing repairs and maintenance.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Multi-trade skills would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £43,813.19 per annum.
• Company Van provided.
• Tools provided.
• PPE provided.
• Overtime available.
• Permanent position.
• 40 hours per week.
• Shift pattern of 11:30am‑8:00pm on four weekdays, plus every Saturday 8:00am‑4:30pm.
