About the Role
Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Maidstone, Kent
Salary: £33,000-£35,000 (base) with OTE £42,000-£60,000
Hours: Monday-Friday 08:00-16:30, door-to-door paid, overtime at 1.5x
Type: Full-time, Permanent
The Client: A rapidly expanding, innovative organization in Wiltshire supporting growth in the engineering team.
Package includes: 28 days leave + 1 day/year up to 25 days, laptop, company vehicle, fuel card, pension, training, occasional overnight stays, overtime pay, weekend work options, and progression opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Attend breakdowns, service, and PPMs on industrial compactors in waste management.
- Use manual, electrical, hydraulic, and hot working tools.
- Fault find on electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Manage time effectively, update reports, and order parts.
- Follow health and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience in electrical, mechanical fault finding, repair, and servicing.
- Experience with MIG/TIG welding (advantageous).
- Knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems; roles include plant engineer, maintenance engineer, hydraulic engineer, etc.
- Experience with hydraulic systems, fault finding, and electrical work.
- Full UK driver’s license.
