About the role

Technician Grade P2 – Engineering Technician at Raytheon UK (Harlow, Essex). This permanent, full‑time role (37 hours weekly) supports the design, development, production and integration of Weapon Systems under new contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Company Health and Safety Policies and legislation.
  • Mechanical assembly, modification and repair of hardware.
  • Regular checking of tools and machinery.
  • Mechanical and Electrical testing.
  • Completion of forms and maintenance records.
  • Understand quality requirements and proactively report issues/observations.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience as an electrical and mechanical technician.
  • Ability to follow strict company Environmental Health and Safety procedures.
  • Proficient in using tools for repair and manufacture of equipment.
  • Ability to work accurately and to deadlines.
  • Good hand‑eye coordination.
  • Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems (desirable).
  • Previous experience in an Aerospace or Defence environment (desirable).
  • Valid UK driver’s licence.
  • UK passport.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
