CNC Machinist – 3 Shift Rotation

Location: Livingston

Shifts: Monday to Friday (Early Finish Every Friday)

Salary: £39,989 rising to £40,800 after probation

We are recruiting an experienced CNC Machinist on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Livingston. This is a permanent role offering stability and career progression with a globally known company.

Shift Pattern (3‑Week Rotation)

• Week 1: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm (until 12:20 pm Friday)
• Week 2: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm (until 12:20 pm Friday)
• Week 3: 10:00 pm – 6:00 am (until 6:40 pm Friday)
• Weekend‑only shift options available if preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC machines (milling and/or turning).
• Loading programs and making tooling offsets.
• Producing precision components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment.
• Working to strict quality, safety and compliance standards.
• Supporting continuous improvement within the machining department.

Candidate Requirements

• Time‑served CNC Machinist or equivalent HNC qualification in Engineering.
• Proven experience in a CNC machining environment, ideally a minimum of 2 years.
• Ability to work a 3‑shift rotating pattern.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc or Heidenhain.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
