Locations: Northampton, Northamptonshire

Salary: £12.75 per hour (up to £13 per hour)

Working hours: Monday‑Friday, 7am‑3:30pm

We’re recruiting for a Assembly Operative to join a well‑established and growing metal manufacturer. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in a hands‑on manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Cleaning and smoothing edges of manufactured components
• Removing burrs, sharp edges, slag, and residues from metal parts
• Using hand tools, grinders, files, and finishing equipment
• Operating bead blasting equipment
• Preparing components by masking or protecting critical areas
• Inspecting parts before and after finishing processes
• Working from drawings and specific finishing instructions
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
• Working in line with company quality and safety standards

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a manufacturing role is beneficial but not essential
• Comfortable using hand tools or power tools
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Good practical skills and manual dexterity
• Reliable, punctual, and safety‑conscious
• Comfortable working within a production environment
• A driver’s licence and own vehicle are essential
