Estates Craftsperson Mechanical

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) is recruiting an Estates Engineering Craftsperson (Mechanical) for its new clinical diagnostic centre in Hanley CDC. The role will begin after initial training with the Retained Estates Team at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Salary: £28,392 – £31,157 + 16% R&R premium per year. Closing date: 12/06/2026. Band: 4.

This role does not currently offer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance and repair tasks across the hospital.
• Assist and support other tradesmen within the Estates Department.
• Demonstrate skills, knowledge and experience throughout the interview process and ongoing training.

Qualifications and Experience

• Meets essential qualifications for the role.
• Experience in mechanical repairs and services.
• Experience working in a large public sector environment or equivalent.
