A growing and fast-paced business in Chesterfield is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their supportive finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a busy environment, and wants exposure across all areas of transactional finance.
This role sits within a fast-paced finance function with responsibility spanning end-to-end transactional finance, including billing, accounts payable, receivables, reconciliations, and reporting across multiple currencies and revenue streams. It’s a hands‑on position managing high transaction volumes while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial control across all processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Purchase ledger processing and invoice management
- Sales ledger, billing, and credit control support
- Bank reconciliations
- Cash allocation and transaction processing
- Supplier and customer query resolution
- Supporting reporting and month‑end processes
- Maintaining accurate financial records across all ledgers
- Assisting with wider finance duties as required

- Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes
- Confident working in a fast‑paced, transactional environmentGood communication skills and a proactive approach
- Team player with a willingness to get involved across the function
