Immediate start for a Finance Apprentice (Accounts L2). Looking to invest in an apprentice who wants to progress and grow in a company offering excellent long‑term career progression.
Key Details
Wage: £15,392 for first year, may increase based on age.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm; Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (30 min lunch). 37 hrs/week.
Start date: Monday 22 June 2026.
Duration: 1 year 4 months.

Location: 11 Bridge Street, Ramsbottom, Bury, BL0 9AB.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of Annual Accounts from start to finish, including company Tax Returns.
- Completion of personal Tax Returns.
- Payroll processing.
- Bookkeeping, including VAT Returns and reconciliations.
- Use of accountancy software (Xero, Quickfile, QuickBooks).
- Ad hoc responsibilities.
- Potential involvement in other areas of accountancy (R&D claims, independent examinations, management accounts).
Training
Training provider: BURY COLLEGE. Course: Accounts or finance assistant (level 2). College attendance one day per week.
Course contents include:
- Record transactional data.
- Use the organisation’s standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
- Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
- Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
- Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon and tailoring language to the audience.
- Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data for routine accounting tasks.
- Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, backing up data.
Qualifications
- GCSE English (grade C/4 or above or equivalent).
- GCSE Maths (grade C/4 or above or equivalent).
Share any other relevant qualifications and industry experience; the apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
