The RoleAs a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with additional needs to achieve their full potential. You’ll work closely with teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support both in and out of the classroom.We have opportunities available in:Primary schoolsSecondary schoolsSpecialist provisions and SEN schools
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SENDAssist students with a range of needs, including: Autism (ASC)ADHDLearning disabilitiesSocial, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needsHelp implement individual education plans (IEPs)Support pupils with communication, behaviour, and emotional regulationCreate a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environmentWork collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
What We’re Looking ForExperience working with children or young people with SEND (school or care setting desirable)A patient, empathetic, and proactive approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to build positive relationships with pupils and staffA genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learnersRelevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Health & Social Care) are desirable but not essential.
