SEND Pastoral Support Worker – Northampton

About the role

Justteachers is recruiting a SEND Pastoral Support Worker for a secondary school in Northampton. This full-time role starts September 2026 and ends July 2027. You will provide emotional and behavioural support for pupils with SEND.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide targeted pastoral support for vulnerable pupils
• Develop strategies to manage behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Liaise with SENCO, teachers, and external agencies
• Monitor and report pupil progress
• Support reintegration after absence or exclusion

Pre-requisites

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• DBS clearance or willingness to obtain
• Two professional references
