Administrative Officer (AO)

Location: Aldershot (Full-time, on-site)Pay Rate: £12.86 per hourContract: Temporary (until end of June, likely extension to September)Start: ASAP

Brook Street are recruiting for an Administrative Officer to join a busy court environment in Aldershot. This role combines office‑based administration with front‑of‑house court usher duties, requiring strong administrative skills and confidence in public‑facing roles.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative duties:

  • Data entry, filing, printing and maintaining accurate records
  • Managing case information and supporting civil case processes
  • Preparing correspondence and documents using Microsoft Office
  • Handling emails and internal communications

Court usher duties:

  • Welcoming and guiding court users
  • Escorting individuals to courtrooms and ensuring smooth proceedings
  • Keeping parties separated where required
  • Supporting judges and court staff
  • Handling sensitive situations calmly and professionally

About You

  • Previous administration or customer service experience (desirable but not required)
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Confident communicating with a range of people
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and in sensitive situations
  • Organised, reliable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • A team player with a proactive approach

Additional Information

  • Fully office‑based role
  • Enhanced DBS required (Brook Street will support with this)
