Job Description:

Overview

The role ensures product quality throughout the lifecycle with Safran Seats GB, supporting manufacturing processes and maintaining compliance with regulations, customer requirements and Safran standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Protect customers from non‑quality by ensuring products and practices comply with regulations, customer requirements and Safran standards, promoting a culture of prevention and anticipation.
  • Drive continuous improvement by capitalizing on factual data and feedback, supporting all company functions.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties aligned with business needs and the overall purpose of the position.

FAI / Dimensioning / End‑of‑Line Inspection & Release

  • Verify conformity of product and part quality to agreed standards and requirements.
  • Execute inspection processes consistently in line with specifications and customer standards.
  • Use vernier calipers, micrometers and FARO arm for inspection activities.
  • Support and assist with customer inspection activities.
  • Complete part and assembly FAI reports to AS9102 against model data and third‑angle projection drawings.
  • Act as EASA Form‑1 signatory for parts and products for release (post‑training).
  • Act as Certificate of Conformity signatory (post‑training).
  • Assist in team problem‑solving activities for manufacturing product quality issues using 8D techniques.
  • Support quality activities within the project timeline.
  • Maintain an effective product inspection portfolio.

Supplier Quality Assurance

  • Ensure supplier compliance and that the customer’s voice is heard by all suppliers.
  • Promote excellence among suppliers through methods and tools recommended by Safran.
  • Guarantee the quality and compliance of products and services purchased and/or provided.
  • Address supplier system, product and process anomalies, ensuring effective corrective actions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Apprenticeship level or equivalent in an engineering discipline (essential).
  • Sound engineering or quality background with experience in quality inspection within manufacturing or engineering industry (essential).
  • Internal Auditor AS9100 trained (desirable).
  • Experience within the aerospace industry (desirable).
