The stellar Mental Health and Court of Protection specialist firm in the region is seeking an ambitious, experienced Court of Protection Paralegal to join its much-vaunted team. This role focuses on welfare and Section 21A matters, providing high-quality advice and representation to vulnerable individuals who lack capacity.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing a Solicitor’s busy workload on a one-to-one basis.
• Undertake client visits.
• Instruct Counsel.
• Draft applications and statements.
• Attend court hearings alongside the Solicitor.
• Ensure all work aligns with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Legal Aid requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable Court of Protection experience, ideally within welfare and Section 21A cases.
• Strong organisational, communication and case management skills.
• Experience of Legal Aid processes.
