Conveyancing Assistant – York

An established and highly regarded law firm in York is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Conveyancing Assistant to join its busy residential property team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the progression of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion
  • Preparing and drafting legal documents and correspondence
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, solicitors, and mortgage lenders
  • Managing files, ensuring all compliance and regulatory requirements are met
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries in a professional manner
  • Supporting fee earners with administrative duties as required

The Candidate

  • Previous experience in a conveyancing or legal assistant role is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn
