Opportunity: Legal Secretary – Private Client
Location: Leigh (Greater Manchester)
Monday – Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm
The Opportunity
Aspion are currently seeking an organised, proactive, and personable Legal Secretary to join a busy and well-established Private Client team based in Leigh.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and organisational skills who is looking to build a long-term career within a supportive legal environment.
You will be working closely with experienced fee‑earners, supporting across a wide range of Private Client matters including Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), Trusts, and Estate Administration.
The role would suit someone who enjoys working in a client-focused environment, where attention to detail and professionalism are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality secretarial and administrative support to Private Client fee‑earners
- Preparing, formatting, and amending legal documents, correspondence, and reports
- Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings
- Handling telephone enquiries and communicating with clients in a professional and compassionate manner
- Opening, closing, and maintaining client files in line with internal procedures and compliance requirements
- Audio and copy typing, including preparation of letters, forms, and legal documentation
- Liaising with external agencies, courts, and third parties where require
- Supporting with general administration including filing, scanning, post management, and document organisation
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience within a Legal Secretary / Legal Admin role (Private Client experience highly desirable)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- A professional and empathetic approach when dealing with clients
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general office systems
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to support the wider team
