Remote Family Paralegal – Part-Time & Flexible

Overview

Matthews Legal solicitors, based in Wem, Shropshire, is seeking an experienced paralegal to work in the Family Department. Familiarity with LEAP is an advantage. Part time, work from home – we are as friendly and flexible as you are.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation
• Draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and appeals
• Maintain and organise legal files and documents
• Assist in case preparation for court hearings and trials
• Communicate with clients, and other professionals to gather information
• Manage correspondence and communication with clients and external parties
• Provide administrative support to lawyers, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars

Qualifications

• Proficient in IT applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook
• Ideally have used Leap software previously
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Previous experience working in a legal office environment is advantageous
• Organisational skills to manage legal documents and files effectively

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Experience: Paralegal: 2 years (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Shrewsbury
