Position Description & Qualifications

Serco is hiring skilled professionals to support the U.S. Navy and U.S. Naval ships on the Chesapeake Sea Enterprise (SURFLANT) program in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Key responsibilities include fabricating, assembling, and installing electromechanical and electronic assemblies for C5ISR systems, applying safety techniques, and working closely with customers and team members on the program.

Qualifications and Experience

• Shipboard or shipyard experience or related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Access to shipyards (NAVSTA & DBIDS) and willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Work onsite five days a week.
• Certifications as required.
• Experience in one of the following: marine electrician (2‑15 yrs), welder (1‑10 yrs), structural technician (2‑10 yrs), installation technician (8‑10 yrs), production lead (8‑10+ yrs), technical specialist (8‑10 yrs).
• Strong safety focus.

Additional Desired Experience and Skills

• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• OSHA Certification.
