We are looking for motivated and reliable Production Operatives to join our team in Carlton, Barnsley. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment, ideal for those with food industry experience who want to be part of a supportive and hardworking team.
Location: Carlton, Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts – Days (7 am–7 pm) and Nights (7 pm–7 am), on a rotating 3-on/3-off basis
Pay Rate: Packing Operative: £13.00 per hour
Employment Type: Full-time, ongoing contract with immediate starts available
Key Responsibilities:
Weigh ingredients following job sheets
- Mix ingredients manually (gloves provided)
Operate or assist with bakery machinery as required
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the production area, including equipment, floors and surfaces
Unbox and manually handle ingredients
- Conduct visual inspections of ingredients and finished products
Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards
What We’re Looking For:
A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
Previous experience within a food environment is essential
Reliable and punctual, with excellent timekeeping
Physically fit and able to work under time-sensitive conditions
Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality control
