  • Title: Young Persons Support Worker
  • Pay: £13.68 – £28.40 inclusive of holiday pay
  • Location: Builth Wells
  • Hours: 09:30 – 22:30 (or 09:30 – Sleep)
  • Must have a valid UK driving licence

Responsibilities

  • Support the children and young people in all day‑to‑day activities and interests
  • Provide restraint training (or be willing to complete a 3‑day course)
  • Promote the young persons’ independence and wellbeing
  • Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with the children
  • Attend weekend and evening activities to support their interests (e.g., climbing, baking, etc.)Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
  • Provide emotional and practical support within your home
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of care plans and guidelines to ensure safety
  • Support and minimise incidents when behaviour is challenging

Qualifications

  • Desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
  • Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
  • At least 6 months experience working with children or a similar social care setting
  • TMVA – Restraint Training Certificate
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
