- Salary: £14.89 per hour
- Location: Fareham – Havant
- Hours: Variety of shift times including early mornings, evenings, late nights and weekends on an annualised 10‑hour minimum contract (casual contract)
About the role
As a Rail Replacement Coordinator, you will be the face of First Travel Solutions (FTS). Your responsibilities include supervising and coordinating the safe and timely operation of rail replacement buses, events and coach services, ensuring passenger, colleague, public and your own safety. You will provide assistance and information to passengers, consistently demonstrate excellent customer service, and maintain high standards in data collection via our coordination portal while helping FTS maintain high vehicle standards and audit regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate safe and timely operation of rail replacement bus, events and coach services.
- Ensure safety of passengers, colleagues, public and yourself.
- Provide assistance and information to passengers and demonstrate excellent customer service.
- Maintain high standards in data collection via the coordination portal.
- Assist FTS in maintaining high vehicle standards and regulate audits.
Qualifications
- Experience in the transport industry is desirable but not essential.
- Commitment to consistently excellent customer service.
- Confidence in engaging drivers on regulations and adherence to PSVAR/PSVAIR.
- Strong communication, enthusiastic and approachable.
- Patient, reliable and calm under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Team player with confidence working as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shift times including early mornings, evenings, late nights and weekends.
Physical Requirements
This safety‑critical role is physically demanding. You will need to be on your feet for up to 12 hours, handle passenger luggage in all weather conditions, sometimes without shelter. You must also have access to your own transportation and be located within 10 miles of one of the key stations.
