Overview

Role: Support Worker

Location: Church Road, Ferndown (BH22)

Salary: £14.05 – £14.75 per hour

Hours: 35 hours per week

Please note: you are required to hold a Full UK Driving Licence.

About the Service

Church Road provides accommodation and support for up to 8 adults with Acquired Brain Injuries or Neurological Conditions. The service works with rehabilitation-focused placements supported by neuro therapists, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech & language therapy and neuro psychology to aid people in their recoveries. A multidisciplinary team undertakes a thorough assessment prior to admission, working with the individual, their family, carers and other health care professionals to identify goals and create an individually tailored support plan.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high standards of care and support in line with care and support plans
  • Encourage good community relationships by promoting a variety of activities
  • Accurately report, record and maintain records as required and in line with care plans
  • Liaise with health professionals and families
  • Complete supervisions and audits
  • Ensure duties undertaken by reporting staff meet required standards and contribute to a positive, happy, efficient, homely atmosphere within the home

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience within the care sector is not required as full training, coaching and development are provided
  • Full UK Driving Licence required
  • Applicants must be over 18 years old
