Overview
Central Recruitment is currently recruiting for Support Workers to work in various locations across the North East of England including, Durham, Bishop Aukland, Newcastle, Whitley Bay, and North and South Tyneside on an ad hoc basis.
Shift Patterns & Pay
We have work available in various shift patterns, including early, late, waking nights, and sleep‑ins. The pay rate for this role is £14.24 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay).
Responsibilities
In this role, candidates will be expected to provide effective day‑to‑day shift cover that supports the aims of the project, safeguards the residents and provides effective support within a harm minimisation and strengths and recovery framework.
Qualifications & Experience
We are seeking candidates with previous experience of working with young people with complex support needs including those related to homelessness, mental health and substance misuse issues. Additionally, you must have at least 12 months of paid experience with young people or young parents with multiple disadvantages.
Additional Requirements
In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Current valid right to work in the UK
- Minimum 12 months’ of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise)
- A fully enhanced DBS registered on the DBS update service or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £60)
- Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
- Please note the outlined experience is the ‘minimum’ first stage criteria, and we will therefore be unable to consider your application unless you are able to demonstrate a relevant work history in line with this position
