SEND Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School, Swinton (Salford) | £90 – £100 per day | Full-time | Start Date: ASAP
Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Swinton, Salford, seeking an experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team immediately. This role involves supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities across KS3 and KS4, under the direction of the SENCO and class teachers. The role includes both one-to-one and small group support to help pupils achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Support students with SEND to access the curriculum and engage in learning.
- Assist teachers with planning and adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to ensure consistent support.
About You / Qualifications
- Previous experience working in schools or within the education sector (essential).
- Confident in supporting pupils with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties.
- Patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
- Hold a valid DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Tradewind (reimbursement of processing costs available).
