Learning Support Assistant – KS1 Transition (Year 1)

Chelmsford | Full-Time | Permanent Position

Are you a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant with a passion for Early Years and supporting children with additional needs?

We are working with a welcoming primary school in Chelmsford that is seeking a full‑time LSA to support pupils transitioning into Year 1. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a nurturing school environment where every child is supported to succeed.

The school places great importance on ensuring a smooth and successful transition from Early Years into Key Stage 1, particularly for pupils who require additional support.

The Role

  • Full‑time Learning Support Assistant position
  • Supporting pupils transitioning from EYFS into Year 1
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Assisting children with SEN to access learning and settle into KS1
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
