2 Learning Support Assistants – SEN School – Brentwood, Essex

Full-Time | Long-Term | Immediate Start

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Help pupils develop social, emotional, and communication skills.
• Create a safe, encouraging learning environment where every child feels valued.
• Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and pastoral teams.

Pupils and Needs

• Autism (ASC)
• Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH)
• Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
• Speech, language, and communication needs

Candidate Profile

• Patient, caring, and resilient.
• Passionate about supporting children with SEN.
• Able to build strong, positive relationships with young people.
• Confident working in a structured yet varied environment.
• Experienced in SEN (desirable), although full training will be provided.

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Previous experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is an advantage.
