Job Description:

All About The Role

Your role will be to support adults with learning disabilities to develop new skills, including woodwork and gardening, while helping them achieve their individual goals in a positive and social environment. You will play a key part in building their confidence and promoting independence.

You will assist in planning and delivering a range of activities both within our hub and out in the community, including:

  • Sessions at the allotment
  • Collecting pallets and delivering kindling
  • Supporting woodwork and craft activities
  • Providing personal care
  • Communicating with families and other professionals involved in individuals’ care
  • Using IT systems to update records and complete training

The Industrial hub currently has a staff team of 6 and 28 supported people. We are an active, enthusiastic team who like to motivate the people we support.

All About You

  • Are you a Kind, Caring, patient & respectful individual?
  • Do you have an understanding and experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities?
  • Are you happy to help with personal care respecting an individual’s dignity?
  • Can you work well in a team and use your own initiative?
  • Have you held a full UK driving licence for a minimum of 2 years? Driving will be involved using the hub’s vehicles.
  • Do you have basic IT skills and strong communication abilities?
