Empowering Learning is working with a number of partner Primary, Secondary and SEND Schools in Sheffield and surrounding areas, and we are looking to take on new and experienced Learning Support Assistants to cover on a day to day, part time and full-time basis.

The roles are classroom-based working on a either a 1to1 and small group basis. SEND and childcare experience is preferred but not essential, as training and support will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom-based support in one-to-one and small group settings
  • Assist with teaching activities for primary, secondary and SEND students
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement learning plans
  • Support children’s behaviour and wellbeing in a safe and positive environment

Qualifications

  • Childcare experience
  • SEND experience or knowledge
  • Dedicated and reliable work ethic
  • Positive and encouraging personality
  • Willingness to complete DDSS declarations and provide professional references
