Job Description

Support Worker tasked with providing daily support to a young gentleman with an acquired brain injury who attends university in Lancaster.

  • Assist with organisation and administration tasks such as checking emails, managing a weekly planner, and keeping up with academic requirements and deadlines.
  • Support with daily routines, including morning preparation for lectures, managing fatigue, and preparing for day-to-day activities.
  • Help with independent living tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping for essentials.
  • Encourage social engagement by facilitating attendance at university societies and activities, and support transport and navigation of the local area.
  • Promote independence and confidence throughout all tasks.

Location: Lancaster, LA1. Pay Rate: £18.00‑£19.00 per hour. Shift patterns include full-time or part-time weekdays 07:30-21:00 and weekends 09:00-21:00.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 months of care experience.
  • Confident with medication, personal care, moving and handling.
  • Clear communication skills.
