We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and reliable individual to work within a successful, forward‑thinking Inclusion and Wellbeing team. The role will involve working with a range of students including those with SEND or who may have arrived at secondary school with lower than expected levels of learning.
The successful candidate will support students both in mainstream classrooms and during small group interventions. The successful person will also carry responsibility for the leadership of early identification of need, including:
- Identify SEND students requiring additional academic, emotional, behavioural, or pastoral support
- Track attendance, behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement indicators to identify emerging concerns
- Analyse assessment and progress data to recognise gaps in learning and barriers to achievement
- Work with teaching staff to identify students showing signs of additional learning needs
- Support early identification of SEND needs through observation, screening, and review processes
- Maintain accurate records of student needs, interventions, and support strategies
- Liaise with parents/carers to gather information relating to student development and support needs
- Review the effectiveness of interventions and recommend adjustments where necessary
- Ensure students receive appropriate support aligned plans
- Escalate safeguarding, welfare, or high‑needs concerns to relevant staff where appropriate
- Contribute to annual reviews, support meetings, and multi‑agency discussions regarding student needs
- Promote an inclusive environment that supports the diverse needs of SEND learners
- Identify patterns and trends in SEND provision to support continuous improvement in student outcomes
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual who shares our ethos of supporting all learners to achieve their full potential and raises aspiration. A high level of competency is essential. Ideally the candidate will have experience of working within education.
